Market Research & Analysis
- We helped our client understand the opportunities for and threats to their business by profiling players in the legal information marketplace, determining the size and consistency of customer segments, and understanding each segment’s specific information needs.
- An analysis of the market for paper products included identifying potential customers, sizing the opportunities, and understanding the current players in the space and their offerings. The findings were used by the client to establish its approach to the market.
- Our client needed to identify opportunities for offering its construction services and the political environment, including the decision-makers and influencers, in several new geographic markets. We delivered insights that helped the client prepare and then enter the new markets successfully and with confidence.
Customer Research & Analysis
- We provided in-depth profiles of nearly 40 major customer targets for our client, an information technology company, including details regarding key decision-makers, influencers and specific pain points. The information was used by the client’s business development team to adapt its products and services to each customer’s needs and build their credibility with each of them, ultimately enhancing the sales process.
- Our customer sought to expand its marketplace presence by identifying manufacturing companies in several industries that met specific buying criteria and had an apparent need for its refractory services. We collected information regarding nearly 400 prospective new customers, including individual contacts at each company.
Competitor Research & Analysis
- We profiled an information services company specializing in products and services for the call center industry. The findings included insights regarding the company’s intellectual property and data assets, resources and capabilities. They were used to enhance our client’s product development and marketing efforts.
- We monitored news and published information on a monthly basis regarding products competing with our client’s pharmaceutical brands. The research results were used by the client to act proactively to threats from new market entrants and current competitors.
- Printer products were evaluated and compared on a number of criteria important to our client. The results of the benchmarking effort helped our client as it developed new products and enhanced existing ones.
Other Research & Analysis
- We scanned electronic sources of published information for our client, a consumer goods company that was concerned about negative comments being circulated by customers and former employees. We were able to minimize the client’s anxiety and allow them an opportunity to design responses to the criticism when we discovered only a few specific remarks online.
- Our client was involved in patent litigation and was looking for published information that would support its position. We delivered several articles from trade publications, newspapers and magazines that provided compelling proof that the business method referenced existed prior to the date of the patent application, thereby assisting the client with its legal case.
